“Achieving stardom in a single film is not my aim. I am measuring my steps and would like to be appreciated as an actress who could do any kind of roles with ease,” says Poorna.
The ‘Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondram Aandu’ girl, who was later seen in ‘Kandhakottai’ and ‘Drohi’, says, “I am young. So I am in no hurry. Slow and steady will always win the race. Wait and see.”
Eagerly expecting the release of ‘Aadu Puli’, in which she has acted opposite Aadhi, Poorna says, “Any single person can’t be blamed or credited behind the success or failure of a film. So I can’t be blamed for the flop show of my movies.”

Two-crore demand!

Two-crore demand!

Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law Allu Aravind has been accused of cheating a woman to the tune of 2 crores. According to Narra Jayalakshmi, she had approached Allu Aravind for an MP seat during the previous elections and he had demanded 2 crores per seat. On assurance that she will be given a seat to contest the polls, the lady reportedly sold all her properties in the Telangana region and handed over the money.
But, Jayalakshmi alleges that Allu Aravind failed to give her the MP ticket for contesting the polls and is also refusing to return her money. Since repeated requests yielded no results, the lady is planning to go on an indefinite strike.
It may be mentioned here that Allu Aravind is a very prominent person in the Praja Rajyam Party, run by Chiranjeevi.

100 Days of 'Mynaa'

100 Days of 'Mynaa'

‘Mynaa’ which was a harbinger of hope in 2010 has successfully completed 100 days. In a time when the average expected run of a film is not more than four weeks, a small film reaching a milestone is exhilarating.
When the spirits were low this small film lifted them up. Thanks to the foresightedness of Red Giant Movies that appreciatively adopted and aggressively promoted ‘Mynaa’.
‘Mynaa’ with remarkable screen play made great business apart from winning critical laurels. Director Prabhu Solomon justified all his pre-release talks with the brilliant product. Vidharth and Amala Paul became stars overnight. Even the supportive characters like Sethu and Susan George made incredible impact. The music of D. Imman and the cinematography of Sukumar created lasting impressions.
It’s inspiring and stimulating to see a movie of quality like ‘Mynaa’ is not let down by the Tamil audience. ‘Mynaa’ also rightfully secured a place in the Top 5 Movies list on IndiaGlitz.
Hats off to Tamil cinema fans!

‘Nanban’ songs in London

‘Nanban’ songs in London

Nothing can stop the run of ‘Nanban’ now. Shankar has completed the first schedule of shooting for the film in Ooty last week and next, he is flying to London with the music director Harris Jayaraj.

Both are set to return only after composing all the four songs required for the film. Buzz says Harris has already delivered one of the five songs. That song is said to be the ‘All Iz Well’ version and it is also said that this number will be an adaptation of the Hindi original tuned by Shantanu Moitra.

All the other four songs will be original scores from Harris. Shankar has already worked magic with Harris Jayaraj in ‘Aanniyan’ before. Everyone hopes the music of ‘Nanban’ will also be as timeless as the concept of the film.
